Virtual Leadership Fundamentals Series

The Virtual Leadership Fundamental Series is a powerful, skills-based program designed for current and aspiring frontline leaders who want to build confidence, inspire teams, and lead with impact. Through a series of interactive, two-hour online sessions every other week, participants will explore essential leadership capabilities like communication, emotional intelligence, inclusion, change management, and more.

Whether you’re stepping into your first leadership role or looking to refresh core skills, this program offers practical strategies and tools that translate directly to real-world performance.

Session Overviews

The AM and PM “public” cohorts consist of 7 sessions, with participants attending a session every other week.

Cohorts will kick off on Wednesday, 2/11/26, and access to Microsoft Teams via a laptop or desktop computer is required.

This series is offered as public sessions where participants will learn from leaders at other companies, and is also offered as “private” sessions where all participants are from one company.

Session 1

The Role of a Leader

Participants will learn about the connection between purpose-driven leadership and team outcomes, while identifying behaviors that align strategy, execution, and inspiration, and demonstrate how specific leadership actions influence team culture and performance

Session 2

Communication Styles & Emotional Intelligence

Participants will learn to demonstrate effective communication by applying self-awareness and empathy, adapting their communication style to meet the needs of others, and using practical techniques to build trust and navigate difficult conversations with confidence.

Session 3

Building Trust and Influencing Inclusion

Participants will learn how to apply strategies for building authentic and inclusive relationships, while using practical tools to strengthen trust and model integrity, and demonstrate leadership behaviors that promote empathy, engagement, and a sense of belonging.

Session 4

Managing Change and Psychological Safety

Participants will learn how to lead teams through change by communicating with transparency, modeling resilience, and applying techniques that create psychological safety, while encouraging team members to share ideas, learn, and grow together.

Session 5

Accountability and Assignment of Work

Participants will learn how to promote accountability and consistency by setting clear expectations, using constructive approaches to address performance or behavior challenges, and applying effective delegation techniques to assign work with confidence.

Session 6

Coaching and Feedback

Participants will learn to apply purposeful coaching techniques, deliver meaningful and actionable feedback, and use structured coaching models to guide development conversations and address conflict in ways that strengthen relationships and support team growth.

Session 7

Action Planning

This 2-hour capstone session brings together the core principles from all six leadership modules. In this session, participants reflect on what they’ve learned and convert insights into a focused, practical leadership action plan.

By the end of the session, each leader will commit to three specific, high-impact actions that will advance their leadership effectiveness and elevate team performance.
